  • LONG SUIT #3 (2007) is a project with three primary schools in De Hoven, a neighbourhood in Almere-Haven. Students, ago 10 to 14, were asked to take to school a cloth that was special to them. The characteristics of each blanket, scarf or cloth are documented in a folder and a short film. On a large map of their neighbourhood the children drew their daily route to school. Standing on the place that marked their home, holding or wrapped in the pieces of textile they brought, each class was photographed. By zooming in on their “proximities” – a piece of cloth, their playground, the location of their homes, the way to school – new relations between the children came to the surface. This project was commissioned by Museum De Paviljoens and Gemeente Almere.
